1.- Introducción y Características Técnicas

Shuttle inagura con esta gama unos MiniPC’s mas compactos y se une a la tendencia en todo el mundo, desde que hace mas de 4 años Intel presentara la gama NUC. Esta gama se caracteriza por su reducido tamaño (medio litro de volumen) y a la par con una potencia flexible, ya que se puede instalar desde un procesador Celeron hasta un i7. En nuestro caso vamos a probar el modelo más básico, con Celeron 3205U, 8GB de memoria y un M.2 SSD de 120GB. Recordad que el equipo se adquiere sin memoria y SSD, aunque en este caso Shuttle nos lo ha cedido listo para disfrutar. Indicar que con esta gama también se presentan una serie de bases para poder ampliar el número de puertos, incluso de bahías para nuestro miniPC.

Shuttle es una marca pionera en la creación de equipos compactos. Fundada en 1983 tiene entre sus hitos el haber desarrollo la primera placa base de 17×17 cm del mundo para el mercado OEM. Es uno de los líderes en el sector de MiniPC’s, y actualmente ha ampliado su mercado con equipos TodoEnUno y una nueva división de NAS.

[1] Mini-DisplayPort

A monitor with a standard DisplayPort can ideally be connected using an adapter cable that converts Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort (e.g. DELOCK 82698).

[2] Audio connector

The 3.5mm audio jack at the back panel of this device supports both a 4-pole connector for headphones and microphone and headphones with only a 3-pole connector. Headsets with separate connectors for headphones and microphone, though, require an appropriate adapter, if also the microphone should be used.

[3] High ambient temperatures

Caution: for high ambient temperature over 40°C we strongly recommend to use SSDs (supporting at least 70°C) and rugged SODIMM memory with wide temperature range (up to 95°C).
